Has anyone found a cheaper source for the fuel pump rubber anti-vibration mounts? The porsche OEM mounts are something like $27.95 each. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)
I've found multiple suppliers on the web, but they cater to bulk buyers. Anyone found a cheaper source that sells just two? |

Okay, last time replying to myself. http://www.mcmaster.com/ also has alot. Should of thought of them in the first place. Can any of you technical types out there provide some guidance on which replacement mount might be most appropriate? (Shear, compression force, rubber, urethane... etc...) |

Mcmaster.com is great. As far as sizing, just get the basic diameter and height you need. There is very little weight associated with the fuel pump, so any of the rubber mounts of the correct diameter will be more than strong enough.
I've found many little pieces like clutch clevises, 7mm nuts, and the like at McMaster-Carr when no one else seems to have them. Great company to work with and they will accept small orders as well as big industrial orders. Their printed catalog is clurrently 3592 pages thick, if they don't have it, it probably ism't made anymore! |

You answered your own question, beat the rest of us in doing so, and you helped everyone else that had the same question. Thanks! I need a set. |

I just took thick piece of rubber and drilled through it and then put a bolt in. It seems to be insulted well enough; there isn't any rattling and the pump is on very securely.
