Anyone install a dry sump tank up front instead of the factory type? Thinking this may be less exspensive & more readily available?

90% of the serious race cars run a front mounted dry sump tank. You have to be careful about which one you buy. Some of them are not vented correctly for the 911 engines.

That's what I was looking at. Something similar to the Peterson tanks, about 9-10 quarts & possibly replacing the engine mounted cooler with a larger radiator up front.

many people use a front and the original oil cooler both.
some pro-level race engines block it off... and big motors (3.6) don't have the motor cooler...

but more coolers can be better
I personally run the engine cooler and 2 front coolers all at the same time
