While in Ventura over the weekend i was working on the bug and needed a set of points. Found a new parts place called Airheadz, which is actually a retail branch of Karmann Connection. Turns out they are doing repros of rubber bits for vanagons now, and i got an alternator boot for $14.

it looks good, and comes with the metal clip.
I'm very happy with the product.

no affiliation, just satisfied.

looks like i saved $5. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

could be a good source for other engine rubber bits as they make tons of repro stuff (not all perfect I'm told).

I haven't asked yet though I will when i call next time.
