when i shut down the 'uter it says shutting down program ptahydra. i can't fing this in my programs and it doesn't show up any where that i can see.

what is,and how do i get rid of it?

You might want to get a spy/adware scanner. One of my favorites is Lavasoft AdAware - which you can download for free...
