Off Topic tech question...
On my Subaru SVX Vanagon conversion I am looking for a good spot to mount the fuel pump. stock the pump sits outside the tank about half tank level This puts it in the wheel well and exposes it to a lot of dirt and rocks! Could i get fuel pickup/pressure problems by mounting it in a higher location, say toward the top of the tank. My fear is when its off fuel will drain down and the pump has to suck air every time and self-prime. BTW using the stock Bosch Vanagon pump. thanks for responses John |
