ive seen rust before but this doesnt make sence

no rust on the inside

has anyone attacked this before and how bad does it get

all info would be appreciated

does a yellow car mean its a lemon

cause its startin to look like it

Well, its a yellow car with a black engine bay, meaning that the enigne bay was probably painted black... To cover up rust (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Chances are that the rust went through and some previous owwner painted over it. Thats a very common place for rust as the battery acid mixes with water and rusts away the wall and the hole at the bottom.


I had rust in my car, same places, almost exactly the same shape, etc.


I would strip that paint off and see what is really going on.

thanks tony the battery solution fits the problem, the car was painted about seven years ago, so its a cut and weld solution

Mine has rust in exactly the same place. Lots of cars have to have this panel welded
