What is your best guess on how much a 914-6 weighs without the engine, exhaust, transmission, or interior? My Guess is 1800lbs.

I am trying to decide on what trailer to pull my 914-6 to the painter with and I have a 1500lb (max weight) trailer that would work real well for loading, unloading and ease of towing, and a standard car trailer that would be a bit of a hassle to use.

It will be very close to 1500. I would say that that trailor should work just fine.

has anybody actually weighed a stock car...
I'm betting they are actually a bit over the 2075 figure "as delivered" from the factory.
