Has anyone used or seen Renegade's Touring Seats? (You still need to go to their 914 / Accessories page) They are about twice the price of World Upholstery and Autos International seat re-upholstery kits, and the work is all done.

I've sat in a few dozen of them... comfortable, secure, fit the back pad, and look stock to the untrained eye.

They WILL be going in my car eventually

I agree with Aaron, gts is a cool looking seat, stock material, and no renegade name (that is the deal breaker for me)

If you buy Sparco seats, whos name is on them?
How about Momo?
Corbeau?
Recaro?

Why should renegade be ANY different?

I have had both Renegade Sport and GTS LeMans. The GTS is far superior. It has a true suspension under the cushion, not just a fiberglass bucket. Also, the side bolster on the Renegade tends to bow out with use. The touring model might not be as bad in that regard. While I found the Renegade OK, the GTS was great. One is a modified 914 seat, the other is a "from scratch" quality seat. After you factor in the cost to ship your core seat to NV and return shipping, the GTS is not that much more expensive. Contact Craig at Camp 914 for a price on the GTS.

I have a Scheel in my V8 914 and a Recaro GT3 in the neo914

Seats are like shoes, you buy them and you don't really know how supportive or comfortable they are for you until you used them for a while...

I dont' think that one would fit in my car, but I really like the tubular construction.

This one is currently in my DE/AX car. Like it a lot, but it is coming out and a Kirkey is going in so I can get a little lower (I am 6'1" and helmet hits the roof with seat cushon). These seats are made from strock seats. Any one interested in buying it, contact me.

Where can you get the GTS seats?

BTW, I didn't see seats listed on Renegades site. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I like mine. We made them over 22 years ago.

Seat pic 1 from my BLOG

Seat Pic 2 from My BLOG

We made these from stock seat buckets a long time ago. The second generation are in the track car (they have cutouts for the belts and are different material)
