Can the glove box be removed withhout detaching the metal band ? I pushed the metal strap over the back of the box and began to wiggle it down. I get to a certain point and it won't go any further ?
Also, does the top of the box meet the front of the dash when it's in correctly ? I'm removing it so I can get the lock out; the lock has never really caught on the door tab. Any help will be appreciated- a picture of a removed glove box could help explain what I'm up against.... Jim |

Sorry Jim, no pics from me.
I'm pretty sure the door has to come off, and the strap has to be completely undone before it clears the box. I may be way off, tho, 'cause it's been quite a while since I've done one. I do remember the springs on the door were a pain. |
