I picked up an older 911 front end to install so maybe I can stop when I need to. I noticed the rotors have a pretty deep ridge around the outer edge like you normally see from alot of wear by the pads. My 911 buddy tells me that these rotors are made this way to help hold the pads but I have a little trouble believing that.
Does anyone agree with that?

Maybe your 911 buddy has good advice about your golf swing, but he's full of shit when it comes to cars.

When you buy your new rotors, you will find out that sww914 is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!

GAD with people around like that we wonder why we have any faith at all in either:
the jury system of justice, or free elections. IMO your 911 buddy should never be allowed to be on a jury, or allowed to vote.

Ruffles have ridges .......

I don't do golf.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Pads are usually held in by glue.

Over and out ...........................
