i've disconnected the cables at the freash air box and can't figure out how to slip the controls out of the front of the dash. are there hidden fasteners? what's the trick?

There is a bolt under the dash that holds the control unit in

thanks. don't know how i missed it with the brassy anno finish. got the uncracked dash to windshield seal out in fine shape. an org silver car with color matching steel dash. the one in my 73' is yellow.

I am glad the Dr responded. I saw this, and remembered struggling to get the heater controls out, but for the life of me could not recall what the hold up ended up being.
