I am a 911 owner and a new 914 owner. I am doing a 3.0 conversion and as I look for various parts I come across many ads on various 914 forums ( including this one ) where it seems there are a lot of fake Fuchs for sale. For the most part in the 911 world the fakes are frowned upon because of cracking problems when used in autocross and DE's. Is this not the case on 914's? I know the 914's are lighter in weight but what's the story with the fake Fuchs?

They're bad Mmmmkay. They do the same thing on 914s. Unless you are just driving around the street not pushing it don't get them. Originals can be found. I know where you can get a full set of 8's for 1200 to you door fully painted or polished or however you would like. DON'T get the fakes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

Blood I have OEM Fuchs 7 + 8 x 16 on my 911 and I know they are a quality piece. I'm not considering fakes for my 914 I was just curious. I have some 17 inch 5 spoke Borbets ( heavy ) that I'm going to run on the 914 short term but long term I'll pickup some real Fuchs also. No spare money at the moment. Thanks for the reply.

PP is selling Fuchs replica wheels,100% low pressure casting and 100% x-ray inspection. At $153.00 for a 7x16 or 173.00 for a 8x16 and 187.00 for a 9x16 I would give them a try. Please note those are Wholesale Prices. These are the 5 lug wheels.
