I'm changing out my clutch cable, and the fitting on the new one won't go over the tube on the firewall. See ref pic for the fitting in question. (the cable brand I just received is "Cofle", not a Terry Cable)

The I.D. of the old cable fitting is 12.6mm, the I.D. of the new cable fitting is 12mm

The firewall tube looks ok. (e.g. not built up with paint, etc.)

weird looking cable! Stock ones fit over the tube just fine. Would suggest one of those or the 914-6 style. Insist on GEMO brand

Buy the -6 cable, it is only a few dollars more. It is heavy duty compaired to the -4. Gemo as the DR says.

My Terry cable is the same way.
My solution is going to be not to worry about it.
