I've been tinkering with the idea of putting side mirrors on the teener...but i dont know which ones i would put on. I'm in favor of putting a driver and passenger mirror...I also am not a fan of chrome.
any ideas |

I've got a pair of 911 flag style electric motors (with wiring) if you decide to go that route.

I like the later RX7 style (1993-1995 vintage).

I used honda CBR mirrors. They work really well and don't look out of place at all. You just have to make some sort of bracket for it.

In that pic, it looks like the curvature is off.

In that pic, it looks like the curvature is off. The PO that put them on had a hard time. The drivers side fits much better. There is a little gap in the base of the mirror pictured. I plan on getting that straightened out when it comes time to paint her down the road. |

I plan on getting that straightened out when it comes time to paint her down the road. I think I would find a block of plastic, cut it to the shape of the base, then file the shapes to fit the curvatures.... Create your own "adapter block" if you will and make a nice tight fit. Nice mirrors. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

If they're too flat, they're from a 944. You can buy the 911 bases & backing plates & they'll fit right.

I used honda CBR mirrors. They work really well and don't look out of place at all. You just have to make some sort of bracket for it. Interesting! I'd like to see a picture of that. They don't move at all even at 160mph. But then they move easy when you want to adjust them. I don't understand how that works at all. The stock ones were hard to move then floped around at those speeds. can you throw a picture of the cbr mirrors on here?
i know this is going to probably be blasphemy on this forum...but what about 968 mirrors...a nice set of black ones? maybe an expensive addition but i'd rather be safe and in porsche style for instance something like this...but obviously on a 914...and not white mirrors...that would really look bad on my red 914 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...itenansicht.jpg |

I always liked the 911 flag mirrors. They look good and are bigger than the stock mirrors.
