mine had 4 small screw studs on the underside (2L + 2R) that bolted thru the deck lid edge. It seem to hold tight, but I decide to bond it permanently for looks.

If you do bondo to make it flush, make sure a shop does it right. It would start cracking after a few years on mine, and after 2 repairs, I gave up and removed it when i last painted the car. |
