the car is owned by my buddy - his comments about the failure were "After tear down, the only broken part was a coupling between tranny and transfer case."

note: he is running a turboed small block chevy motor, a powerglide trans and a custom transfer case that he made.

Thats wild. A lot of engineering. How does it work without a torque converter?

engine and powerglide seperated by a spacer so that solid axle can invade that area - plus the transfer case to send the power forward.

totally custom tube and suspension frommfirewall back.
