I think my dad and I are planning on swinging by to check it out, but unfortunately not in the 914 yet.

Cool! I just cleared it. Were staying over at Kelly's house Saturday night. He said the event starts like 7:00-7:30 am. I guess there's a photo shoot too. I left a message for Paul and Bill.
You should wear the 928 style "Dials" and park next to me. Just don't let the judges put us in the same class. I don't want my dirty lil Alien (IMG:style_emoticons/default/assimilate.gif) to get spanked. I talked to Bill. He said he will be by to visit but didn't think his 914 is nice enough to show. Really, It's a vary nice reliable driver. If it were mine I would enter the car show for fun.
I got a pm from Paul. He said we would stop by for a few minutes. Sounds like he has a full dance card. I also got an email from a local guy that lives near me. His name is Ross. I guess he and his son Seth are planning on coming down to check out the cars. He's building a Suby swap and was interested in Chappy's intercooler placement. Ross has a bitchin Manx with a Suby engine. Very nice work! Here's a link to his site. http://www.specificdesign.com/meyers_manx_ii.htm |

I am very excided for the Nord Stern show tomorrow. I am hoping to decide on solution to get air to my intercooler. The attached sketch of a roof scoop that would probably work but block the rear view mirror view. Looks like nice weather for tomorrow. Attached image(s) |

I think a pair of small fans like i have for my car would work, duct it through a grill on trunk lid.

I'm getting ready to head out this morning, see you there... Fans it is for the intercooler, that makes the most sense for my car. Great weather today, great show, great cars, great people, my son and I had a good time. Picture of Chappy and Ricks cars, both showed great! Attached image(s) |

Sandy and I are home from the show. Wierd stuff always happens on road trips and this one was no exception. On the way to Kelly's I pulled over on the shoulder of the road to check a highway sign and drove right into a fresh strip of tar about 3/4 " deep. I picked up gravel about 1 1/2 " thick around both right side tires. As it started to chunk off it filled the wheel wells with hunks of tar mixed gravel. We were fortunate enough to stay the night at Kelly's house. He had all the solvents and jack and tire dressing to clean the mess up.
