Thanks to Rusty, Bandjoey, Virginisle914 and Coolguy for bringing sanity back to this BBS. It is like the days of old ... straight humor in which we all partake and enjoy. It heals all the wounds.

Also, thanks to all who are scheduling events no matter when or where they are. It keeps the family together.

We were having fun... but McMark can't seem to keep his admin duties separate from his friendship with Rob.

Not sure where all the threads went, but it was funny while it lasted.

I have to say, the spirit of Ron's pal Howard came for a visit yesterday. And it was good. Perspective is an oft overlooked virtue

Thanks for that SLITS!

Fun is fun, and I enjoyed the threads too. Shot of levity.

But if I were an admin, I'd have axed them as well. I don't think it was a favoritism issue, but just a moderating issue as the threads were maybe not so funny for the planners of the conflicted events (and they pushed other real threads down or off the page.)

That would be fun... if I could get a driver, I could stand up in the passenger seat with my AR-15!

It'd be a cross between the MUSR and the Dukes of Hazard!

Mine's already set to the correct ride height for blasting through a cornfield. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) trying to find a small enough gun rack for the rear window, now that's a issue. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The cornfields do sound fun but I'm still going to the Virgin Islands Ramble.

Besides, I'm interested to see how SLITS makes out in his duties as Headmaster during the Festival of Virgins

Calias(?) will get me through in great shape. I am an expert in the field of deflowering virgins. Now to get the adjustable pacemaker installed and I'm on my way.

The problem with this and the other site is that there are many that have their panties all wadded up and can't seem to figure out how to unwad them. Technical and all is fine, but there is plenty of room for humor. You would have noticed that some of us "old timers" start throwing humorous shit into a thread to run it off track and defuse the situation. In the end, all came to an agreement that it was a useless fight and shook hands. It was just a moment, not a lifetime. There was no need to eliminate the threads. If your skin is that thin, you shouldn't be on a BBS anyway. What you saw was the same thing that goes on at events .. not a shittin' thing was different.

And Rusty ... I have a tremendous respect for you. Not only for what you have done and who you are, but for the humor you displayed. It shocked me to know that you had it in you.

Howie always called a Spade a Spade no matter who was involved. If more of us has his sense of humor, care and intelligence, there would be no need for moderators. No one knows how many times he and I exchanged harsh words over certain things.

All in all, we are individuals with our own agendas. When those agendas conflict, compromise, with humor is the solution. I understood Rob's reaction as well as I understood Brant, but couldn't all of you see that in the end there was a compromise? Some just couldn't see the forest for the trees.

To heavy handed Admins ... get over yourself. To those with thin skins, pick your battles wisely and grow up. For all of us involved in stupid cars, we are, in the end, over your choice of beverage, friends and allies.

I'm done and thank you all for who you are.

Is that like an adjustable proportioning valve? Hmmm... Having a couple of those installed might be better than viagra! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)
