1. Putting an ad in the Recycler only to have the Auto Trader keep calling you on the ad asking if you want to place an ad.

2. Same as #1, but CashForYourF-ingCar.com doing basically the same thing asking you to fill out a form to see if they will buy your car.

3. People that negotiate low-ball offers only to say "Cool, I'm come look at it if I have time".

4. People contacting you with no intent on buying the car, but that like to ask questions like "what do you think about your seats?" This happens a lot on Ebay where people think it's a BBS instead of an ad.

I'm sure you guys can add a few more...

sm, with four For Sale Ads running right now for me, Grandma, and Jay.

Putting an ad in the local Auto Trader for a clean, straight, fully-equipped '84 RX-7 GSL (12a) for $1.1K and having EVERY race fab shop in East-Middle-West Florida call you and try to brow-beat the selling price.

"Dude, it's only worth ... what ... $300?" *or* "It's only got that 12a engine. The 13b is worth more." Yeah, right; play me for some jerk-off. I know about SCCA's "Spec RX-7" deal, jackass; try calling somebody else.

Got the $1.1K I was asking for from somebody else ...

Yeah I hate it, I nearly allways end up telling people to get out of my yard.

Usually goes something like this:

Them: Your asking 15,000.00 but: What is the least you would take?

Me: I'll take 14,200.00.

Them: would you take 13,000.00

Me: Get the fuck out of my yard. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif)

I've just got mo pateince...................

Man am I pissed, Guy calls and asks to see my wifes 91 BMW convertible. I go out to the storage warehouse, drive it home and I wash it and get it ready to show. He calls and I have to drive 5 miles to a parking lot so he can look it over. He checks the car over and then we drive it. Gets his GF out of there car. She comes over and looks at it, likes it. He then hands me a bank envelope, and says this is his offer, get this, he makes me count the cash, I can't beleive, so I say okay, he drops me back at my home and I hand him the title and he leaves. Man am I pissed.

when I was moving back to Ca from GA, I ran an ad for the Prelude I had....

IIRC, I was asking $1700, some jerk-off calls and says.... "I'll give you $500.00 for it
sight unseen".

Me: Fuck you, you dumbass. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif)

How about when YOU call on an ad. I like to say, "what can you tell me about the car?".
People respond with: what do you want to know?

Well, what the F@ck did I just say, tell me about the car!!!!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)
