I've never seen a space saver wheel, but CB Performance sells Federal "Formosa" 165/45R15 (P/N - 4495) I've seen these in person and they are true "rubber band" style tires. VERY small diameter. . . Stick one of these on a stock rim and it's an instant space-saver.

Pick up a Hot VW magazine and check the ads for 15" 4x130 wheels there are some that are 4 1/2" wide. Put a 135mm tire on it and you have a space saver for cheap.

I think I still have some space saver tires that removed from the wheels. You can have it for $20 plus shipping. As I recall they are like new never used. You just have to put it on a 5-1/2 x 15" steel rim.
