As I am customizing my project car I am going to put better seats in it. I have seen S2000 seats in a teener and they looked good but the owner said it was a tight fit. I see all types of aftermarket seats on ebay in the $300-$500 range after shipping but will they sit too high?
914 seats are very low to the floor and being 5'11" I don't want to look at the windshield frame when I drive. Who else has put something else in a 914 and how do they work? |

Hi All,
The height is always a problem for the 914 seats, we have redesigned the LeMans seat 3 times to get it lower and lower into the car, but the original mountings are the problem as the cross tube is the hindering objet to get lower.Unless you take the mountings out use sliders or a fixed position that's when you get real low. As we are now making these seats in the uS we have the LeMand that bolts right to the original slider and back padding, but also the Rallye, Avus, Sebring and TransAm mount to these as well-only the original back padding is a bit in the way. Another feature are now the built in guidance for the seat belts in all seats as well as the Trips device to rout the shoulder harness as required by the PCA. Last I have not yet tried the Monte Carlo but I will do that with my 914 and let you know. regards Stefan GTS classics at ClassicCarSeats.com |
