Anyone contemplating an EFI install will get into this, so I thought i show you how I've done it.

I used modern Bosch injectors which have a plastic cup at the bottom around the injector nozzle. I did file off the edge of that plastic cup so that the viton (?) O-ring can sit partly inside and against the original recess of the injector opening in the manifold. It sits very snug and well sealed or so it seems. Will need to thest this on the engine later of course.
The original rubber that sits inside the bracket of the original D-jet injectors also fits the new style (3 bar efi) injectors!

The fuel rail was ordered from summit and cut to length, bored and reamed the openings for the injectors (the only thing I commisioned out) and bored and tapped the ends for NPT 3/8".

I used the original studs to also hold the fuel rail down, made small brackets which are held by bored and taped holes in the underside of the fuel rail.

Nicely done! Which engine? What is the part number of the injectors and what is their flow rate?

Thanks guys!
I want to try it out on a stock rebuild 2.0 engine, but then they will run on the 'build' engine which will be a 2142cc (98x71).
I need high impedance injectors and these 17 lbs/min came along for free and are new. The may be too small for even the 1971cc stock engine, but I also have a set of 28 lbs ones from a VW (Rabbit, Golf over here) )G60, which are just right for the 2142cc.

I will also use a stock Ford escort 52mm central TB, which has a TPS sensor I can directly install in the DTA ecu loom. With some filing out the stock plenum bore, the 52mm will just fit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Walter

What year throttle body? Can you post pics of how you mounted it to the intake plenum? How does the throttle cable attach? Nice work!
