I think the owner is crazy at high 9k for this exterior paint looks great, but" no expense spared" really how much was the foil tape compared to new hoses? maybe it's just me, and I'm not a purest, but shouldn't the interior have some flow? I would estimate value at 6k What say's you? |

I really don't understand the question of valuation in this case? We are provided a group of pictures that A) Show new paint all around, and; (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Lots of missing or non-standard items. No pictures of the "Hell Hole". A comment that the underside is as "pretty as the top", but no pictures of the underside.
I bought my 914 sight-unseen through eBay, and I got a damn fine car. However, I received over 40 pictures and a written description supported by the eBay Purchase Protection. The paint on my car sucked (still sucks), but I didn't buy a 35 year old car for it's shiny paint, I bought it because the fundamantal areas were strong. That includes the longs, hell hole, engine and transmission, and of course, very limited rust issues (there are always some rust areas). Don't let the shiny paint cause you to overlook the items which make up the difference between a fine automobile experience and a potential disaster. The car in this ad may very well be the dream car you are looking for, but from the information and pictures being provided, I just don't see it. Again, just my $.02. |
