Well after a whole lot of work installing dual weber's (used, mistake #1 thought I would save some money) as well as a whole slew of other stuff to get my car ready for spring it all ended in a flaming goodbye.
Long story short, something was wrong with my carbs. backfire through one of the throats, caught the engine bay on fire. Carb on right side was leaking gas. Still don't know why. Cost me the car. $100 fire extinguisher would have saved me my ride. Almost bought one but decided to wait until I had a little more cash...DON'T CUT CORNERS!! I am really sorry to hear about this.. those pictures bring back memories, all bad ones, of watching Betty's 914 burn on the side of the road. But don't lose hope. We managed to bring her car back from a fire, and you can do the same. Just let me know if I can offer any advise or anything else. "We can rebuild it. We have the technology.
