got my JWE (JWest Engineering) Side-shift linkage kit yesterday and spent some time today to go through the instructions etc.
the parts are super nice and look plenty strong. i think it will work great. i'll be posting pics of the install! i have a 4 cylinder with a side shift which is a different installation process than that which andy had with the 6 due to the shape of the shift rod. there are more issues to accomodate with the curve and the engine support bar. scott This is what Im curious about. You still end up with a curved R. shift rod on a /4 w/side shift ? Wouldnt a straight rod be preferable for the function of the u-joints? Is the eng X bar the issue? |

The real solution is to install a six (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . Sorry... The kit eliminates half of the bends in the factory tube, and what is left does not flex much. You end up with a solid snap into gear rather than the mush of factory linkage. |
