I was thinking it would be neat to build a little pick up truck bed on the back of 914, you know to carry stuff when i go to Lowes and the garden store.
I would like to say this was my idea, but I've seen it done to countless beetles. I just think it's time for a Porsche truck- (IMG:http://www.theclassicbeetle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/vw-bug-truck-300x226.jpg) |

I've thought about this too...mine would have an aluminum plate on the back of the trunk to protect the plastic rear light covers from stuff tossed into the back, a removeable grate to cover the back window that would bolt to the ski rack holes, and a removable alloy tubular cage like the back of those 4 door pick-ups.
The idea of a wood platform would be cool, especially if was on the trunk hinges and could be propped up to use the trunk and store the top. Hidden trunk under the flatbed truck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
