I want to raise my spindles, but how much ? Rich was saying 12 - 15 mm. (tho he has never done /4 struts).
Can I adjust the t. bars to RAISE the front if 15 mm turns out to be too low ? |

QUOTE(Brad Roberts @ Jan 4 2004, 11:54 PM) I got news for you. You cant raise the spindles on the 914 strut like you can on a 911 strut. the 914 strut is tapered at the bottom. You have to retube the spindle and cut threads in the top or hack up 4 struts to make two... or add tubing to an exisiting strut after you cut the bottom off. It is no easy task. The 911 struts are not easy.. but it is simply removing the welds and sliding the spindle up and welding everything back together. b Brad, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Boge 911 struts have the same diameter change in the tube as the 914? I know the 911 Bilstein struts are one diameter. What about original Koni struts? I don't know them at all. |
