the 12v battery in my generator is basically brand new but has been sitting for three years (its a lead acid)
is it chargeable and useable or should i just stop typing now and go buy a new one? |

It is likely a lost cause. However, if it is a decent quality battery it just may surprise you and come back to life. Try to charge it carefully, and watch the case temperature. It will have reduced life in any event. Was it automotive or deep cycle; the deep cycle would have a much better chance of living?
