So, payments are on the way for both my car and engine stuff. In the end I got close to what I was asking.

This will put me about halfway to what I want for a down payment on a 2000-2002 Boxster/S, OR 1/3rd to a great condition 928, OR 1/3rd to a great condition 944 S2/951. Not quite sure which to get yet... But I'm sure as I save up more I'll sway closer to the Boxster...

At least with the 2002 boxster I can swap in a 3.6 from a 996...

A base '99 996 has it's curb weight listed at 2929#'s and a 993 at 3064#'s. The 996 is longer by around 6 inches, but the early 996's are just as light as a 993. I've loved having great fuel milage and GREAT air-conditioning.
