Gentleman , long story short here . 2 weeks ago my home computer commited harikiri and in the process of restoring it I lost all of my files, i.e. pictures, documents, internet favorites, etc . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif)

My question being , there were several links in postings here concerning , 1-welding , 2- sheetmetal, 3- electrical and 4- transmission to other werbsites for information on those subjects . I either saved or bookmarked them but now they are all lost . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

If anyone out there can remember if they posted a link to another website concerning these 4 subjects could you please repost them here so I could check them out again ? I know that this may be a big request here but I am at a lost of recreating my list of websites in " Saved As . . . ." or "Bookmarked as " files . My PC is now working but as far as teeners go my files are now extincet.

If anyone could hep me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

the process for data recovery involves another BIG harddrive with data recovery software. This harddrive needs to be set up as the primary harddrive. it's good to just have another computer handy to toss the harddrive with the lost data into (I think I have 5 computers in my home network now, so not a problem for me) this might be a problem for non-IT types.
Most of the work I do is for doctors and medical professionals, and I have become quite good at ignoring content and just looking at 1's and 0's when doing data recovery. (Unfortunately I'm not sure that I can use incredibly busy surgeons as a reference because they have lives to save.)
If either of you want to me to see what I can find for you on your hard drives, PM me. The process is getting a little more difficult to walk non-IT people through because of the new technologies. (RAID setups on the SATA drives esp)
