Michelin offers a 6 year warranty on some of their tires.
I have Michelin tires that are well over 6 years old on my DD 2001 jetta, they are the original rims and tires off a 2002 the owner took off when he bought his 2002 GTI new. The tires were stored in his garage, so no UV rays. I was little worried about running them, but when i found out that the tires had a 6 year warranty, I decided to run them for a year or two.
