As the 914 was supposed to be cheaper than the 911 why did they go the pop up way ?
I was told, the 914 had to feature popup headlights because the US regulation mandated a minimum height for the headlights ... I made some searches on the Internet and found this excellent wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headlamp ... They tell a lot about the 7' round, shaped, sealed lamps ... but there is no information about height. Can you light me ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

You got it... http://www.cassidy-online.com/porsche914/a...aids/index.html Eric Read (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) first of all thanks! that is cool.It appears #3 and #4 are the closest to a 914 and a 911 with side skirts! remove the skirts and they should both change equaly..the 914 IS more coefficient then the 911..from what i see...keep up the good work |

Also, there's a really cool .pdf poster at the end of the article you may want to download. Chris' email address is at the bottom of the article.
