Many years ago, I restored the engine tin & 1.7 air cleaner.
Thought it would be fairly easy to find a vendor supplying a rough rubber-based paint stamp for the engine tin numers, as well as someone to reproduce the air cleaner text. Adter 2 years, I've struck out! Did find one company that could reproduce the air cleaner text in decal format - for 300 bucks! No help on the tin code. So.....am I being anal about these things, or do some of you have other ideas? I saw what Naberhaus had hand-painted on his tin. Too perfect! The engine tin number needs to be rough-stamped & a little sloppy. The air cleaner script needs to be highly detailed. Anyone else dealt with this/these? Pat |
