...while letting in of the flare to the body, I noticed something, and I just have to mention it. When I saw that the section shape for the flare was not the same as the car, I knew a blend as in order but didn't know how far to take it. I have attached a simple example of each section, and a jpg file from Patrick Motorsports and how they handled it. In simple terms, their photo answered my question.
It just seems that everytime I get a warm and fuzzy, something puts hair in my soup.
The sketch shows the section of the flare (in red) and the body section (in blue). My concern is the angle part of the section. There is enough material to form the channel.

Keep think about the rockers while your working. Nothing is going to line up there either. You said you weren't a bodyman, but you will be by the time this is done.

I gave up on thinking the fiberglass rockers were going to look right with my flare installation and now I'm getting ready to start modifing my steel ones to match the profile of the finished body.
