Attached ImageAttached ImageRecently bought a pair of Dual 40s from Jake at his site. Set up the carbs, manifolds, and linkage per installation instructions. Problem is the passenger side linkage coming off the end of the cross bar is hitting the bars(SPRING) of the deck lid, not allowing full throttle action. Tried different positioning, but same affect. Thought about hitting the spring w/hammer, but that's not good! Also removing spring bars all together. Enclosing attachment of sample car with same set up......not mine. Thoughts.......??

Change the linkage around to the front.

You can call up Jake for advice or post on his forum too. He's real good at supporting his customers. You'll need to get an actual picture of your setup to show him though. Someone elses pic without the same issue doesn't help much.
