OK,
I am cheap. I am tired of looking at wheels that looking great on our cars, but cost twice what they should due to the infamous Porsche lug pattern. Does anybody here have a source for reasonable priced wheels? i.e. wholesale? Or, do I have to convert my car to a lug pattern that has wheels that are more reasonably priced? Mueller, I am sur you have some ideas.... Brad, care to enlighten the list on how much these precious gems are marked up? I would expect 100% at a bear minimum... By the way, I am lookin for some 3.6 Turbo look RH wheels in 7.5 and 9.5 x 18 with a decent set of take off tires.... and yes I have flares and a V8 to go with them.. I will not spend $3000, or even $1800. I think these wheels with such described tires should run about $1200.... And, these are not from what I would call a "highend" wheel manufacturer... I am sure there are some of you who would say that if I have an issue with spending $1800 on wheels and tires, I have no business building the car I am working on... If that is your thought, your missing my point.... I have been looking for used ones for a year, and when I find them, they are already sold... Thoughts and comments are wanted and welcome, just keep the flames at home... Thom |

QUOTE(RocknRollFrenzy @ Feb 14 2004, 12:26 AM) wouldn't this have the same issues as using a 4 lug to 5lug adapter?? Nah - a lot of the probelm with the 4-5 lug adapters is that every nut is different - one lug goes through the wheel straight into the hub; two of the lugs are studs from spacer to wheels. A 5lug to 5lug would be just like a spacer and would have even spacing between the lugs. |
