I am inching closer to completing my GT clone. I also have a 911SC and I have 4 sets of wheels total that fit either car. I have 2 sets of Fuchs that are 16x7 + 16x8 and a set of BBS in the same size. I also have a set of Borbets in 17x7.5 + 17x9. Not all wheels have tires on them but so far I have 205/55 + 245/45x16 and 225/45 + 255/40x17. I purchased a 16x6 Fuch to be used as a spare tire/rim for the 914. So assuming I stay with the tire sizes I listed what would be a good tire size to mount on the spare ? I want to make sure the tire/rim will fit in the front trunk in the original horizontal position and be useful as a spare if needed. My guess is 185/55 or 195/55 ? Thanks guys.

I'm running BBS RS 7x16 and 8x16. I replaced the old 4 lug skinny spare with a can of Fix-O-Flat.

I guess I'm old school I still like a full sized spare tire when possible. I'm not a fan of fix-o-flat and neither are the guys that have to change that tire.
