For those of you that hjave been following the production of the rear tops, I have finally got all the bugs worked out. I kept having the interal stainless structure blow into the top edge at the licence plate wells. I'm having to play with the water jet cutter to make the shape I need to make this work correctly. These do have the suport running from the edge mounts through the center mount so the section will not droop where the licence plate goes.
After the run is started these will go to $286 Who needs one? Don't need money now, just a list of those that will be needing them, I'll forward out the payment specifics later. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I actually had to add the wood support as I wanted to keep any possible deformation from occurring. As it's thinner in the center it if got dropped on one end the weight could possibly cause it to bend out of shape it it got a good enough drop. I may be over cautious here but it's easier than trying to work out a freight claim.
Thanks for the pics, look forward to seeing it installed. I will be closing the prepurchse on these 10/14/09. Thanks to all that have signed up your support has been key to getting these off the ground, and helping to fund future projects. There are a few comming up that I'm sure you'll all like. -Mark |
