Dave is a bit busy right now, so I'm going to take the torch and see if there is interest in a repeat of last year's run.
The date can be a bit tricky... October 10th would be the "same" day as last year, which worked out good with the weather, but the leaves were not really turning yet. The catch is, the later we wait, the less likely we are to have nice weather. So... I'm open for suggestions as to the date. My 914 is still in pieces, so I won't have mine there... I'll either drive my truck as a support vehicle, or bum a ride in a teener. |

Okay so I am finally saying the LE is NOT going to be ready by saturday. I am still planning on coming & bringing my wife. I'm only going to do it if there is a good turnout though. Otherwise I should just work on the LE.
So what is the headcount again? |

So far... me, Duc, John, Scotty and you... me and you don't have running teeners, and I'm not sure if John got a tranny in his or not. Billy might make it without a teener as well. |

Perhaps we might consider rescheduling for next weekend, especially if weather will be nicer? I'm no fair-weather teener, but a fun cruise like the one planned would be so much more enjoyable w/ sun and top off! And hopefully more people will be able to come out, like Jon...and JRust can get his LE road-going... My gf has to work this weekend, so if anyone is without 914 and would like to ride along, I have an open seat. Wheel time, too, if you're interested in driving a '70 -6 with a fun motor (and don't worry; it's been converted to side shifter). |

Proceed, postpone, cancel, whatever the consensus is... if one person says they are coming, I'll be there. The weather will be a crapshoot from now until July 5th. My biggest concern is that I don't want someone to come from a long way away and have this be a dud. Phil Haun seems to be considering it, and he's a 5 hour drive from here. Billy is 3 hours away. Jamie's a good hour and a half at least. |
