This guy decided to take up residence on our front porch last night. Scared the hell out of Betty when she came home.

I know nothing about snakes... does anyone here know what kind of snake this is? Should we call animal control to get him removed, or is he harmless?

If he is dangerous, I don't want the local cats or dogs to get bit.

It is in the 60s here, so he is not moving too well. But I am still worried.
