Hey all I have a 914 i just picked up with the crappy 2bbl carb kit on it, I am going to switch over to a 40 IDF setup the car is a 1.8 any recommendations on venturi and jetting sizes for it or where I can look up this type of informaiton?

I'd suggest getting your carbs from a reputable supplier that knows type 4's, and is familiar with engines like yours.
Don't get sucked into the false premise that if you don't get big carbs and venturis, you'll be giving up power. You want an optimized carb/venturi/jet package, which ultimately depends on your engine specifics. |
