I just found a 901 side shift w/ short gears and quaffe !!!
It was sitting in the basement of a house that burnt. When I opened it the inside is coated with gear lube and looks fine. The plastic covers are cracked but not melted. But the outside of the case is covered with white corrosion. Just on the surface. (not deep like some of the mag wheels I've had) So how to clean ? I have a bag of walnut shells ..... |

Dont blast unless you are ready to replace all of the internal bearings. That shit gets into everything.
Wipe it down to remove as much of the snow as possible and then spray it with a wax protectant. |
