Mark the group buy king, dropped his car off last week. I will get a good run at it next week, but for now I will post the beginning pics. I pulled his tank to take to the refinishers and OHHHH BOY what 20 years does to gas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) More pics to come next week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Since there seems to be very little rust to deal with it will allow me to spend more time than usual on the body and paint work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

What should I say to this? When we piece them together we replace all of the serial numbers so that they match. Have seen too many repairs where serial numbers are removed and never replaced. Never forget the guy with the 914-6 who showed up with the front half of a 76 and the rear half of a 70 914-6, the front half with the 47629 serial number and the rear half with the 914043 sticker in the jamb. An insurance company had paid a body shop to clip the car, they legitimately bought the front clip but never transferred the proper serial numbers. I cannot say how many times we have seen cars missing the headlight box number plate Way too many have been hit in the front and had front panels and headlight boxes replaced Mark's car was either a rebody (especially coming from up north) or a car that someone could not get a title for (meaning abandoned for a long period. I seriously doubt that it was stolen |
