Howdy, folks! Thanks in advance for your help with this. I'm new here and to 914s. I've found this car http://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/1687469145.html and have a question about how bad a situation this might really be. I exchanged a couple of emails with the owner (who is out of town) and asked about the nature of the damage to the rear suspension. It appears that the damage occurred by hitting a curb. Sounds a little scary, but, other than the old mount being repaired or a new one being fitted, this seems pretty straight forward. Any words of advice?
Thanks, again! |

It appears that the damage occurred by hitting a curb. I don't buy it. If he had hit a curb, the wheel would be pointing inward at the bottom. It appears the pass. side suspension console has rusted through. That is a common problem related to rust in the "hell hole" (Area under the battery tray). My guess is that car has serious rust ...
