Howdy, folks! Thanks in advance for your help with this. I'm new here and to 914s. I've found this car http://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/1687469145.html and have a question about how bad a situation this might really be. I exchanged a couple of emails with the owner (who is out of town) and asked about the nature of the damage to the rear suspension. It appears that the damage occurred by hitting a curb. Sounds a little scary, but, other than the old mount being repaired or a new one being fitted, this seems pretty straight forward. Any words of advice?

If I saw this 914 w/o the explanation, I would think that the suspension console is rusted. I would stay away from this car.
If I were looking for a 914, I would look only at 2L cars. 1.7L cars are ok but the extra grunt of the 2L almost transforms the car into a real fun ride. |
