I have a 2.7 and had my oil cooler mounted like in your pictures. It passed for normal street driving, but was not cutting it for the track. Your sucking all the hot air coming off the engine into the cooler. On the track my car would run about 250 deg. I decided to move it up front before I had to buy a motor. Just something to keep an eye on if you go to the track.
