Introducing the new fog light grills ----------------------------
These are made from a solid black plastic, not white like the OEM, so no need to paint unless you want another color than black (hot pink for those Miata guys). So, if it gets hit by a rock. It may chip, but it's black all the way through, not white like the others. They will be $ 84 a pair on the pre-purchase. I will have the first production run this next week (end of the week as it's short). I'm also working on having these plated in 3 stage nickel chrome. I'm not sure if it will be successful, but my plater has done this before, and seemed to think he can dial it in. He has 3 samples that he is working on this next week, if he gets it done this next week I'll post pictures. Not sure exactly what the adder will be for chrome, but I can tell you it will be allot less than OEM, and I won't do it if they don't look identical. Hope this was worth the wait. |

Need to do up another test batch. We when with tripple Nickel, but last last one the chemisty looked great until we hit it with cold water. Normally not a problem, but the plastic didn't retain the heat like the metal would have, and it cracked. We need top confirm that if we make a few minor changes we will get waht we want, we also have to perform the adhesion testing, which from what we have done so far looks like it will not be a problem.
The problem here is that I will be on vacation starting the 3rd for about 12 days, and we will be out of town, so unless I can get a set in before I leave there will be a delay. |
