My "73 1.7 is 99.99 % stock. As far as I can tell, it never had a cover on the cables for the parking brake in the the interior. I've purchased two different versions of covers & they don't seem to fit. They interfere quite a bit with the backpad. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks.

73 definitely had them. Swelling and warping of the backpad can make fitment troublesome.
