I'll start it off.
my first white 914 was a 6 with a 2.7RS and then my current build... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) both of these cars were orignally L80E. the 6 was repainted before I bought it in L908 (Grand Prix White) and I decided I liked the brighter L908 for the '75 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/white914.jpg) Attached image(s) |

Perfect timing for this thread. I just got back from shooting pictures of my latest project. 1973 Light Ivory L80E. Full size pictures and some other angles on my Original Customs Flickr Page. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Perfect timing for this thread. I just got back from shooting pictures of my latest project. 1973 Light Ivory L80E. Full size pictures and some other angles on my Original Customs Flickr Page. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Is that Brent E's 73 2l (2056) all done Mark? It looks beautiful! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) His is exactly like mine was from the factory & will be going back to in my resto - L80E with #31 Biege interior (#503 Dark Tan loop pile carpets in my case, don't know if his are #504 Tan or 503). BTW Mark - I'm on a short hiatus from working on my 914 right now - instead working on the Westy, BMW & house projects. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Here's my "L80E" - which I have NEVER seen in white since I first bought her used in 1975! Was Gold Metallic when I saw 11/75 & bought 12/75, has Sahara Beige or a tan primer under the gold that I've found recently in prepping for the resto, I changed to L96K Copper Metallic in 8/76 (Brent's was this too), then to the "pavement camouflage" Antracite (Dark Grey) Metallic in the pic. I knew it was white originally from the floor pans & you can see the longs are still white too. It will eventually look like the one McMark has posted when it's done! BTW - Dan & all - this is a great thread for examples for my resto, & I'd collected a bunch of these & other L80E's to help "desensitize" an avid "blue fan" into acceptance of a white 914 - & now I rather like them!
