Hi all,
I'm in the process of converting my 327 Renegade 1976 to LS Series power. Presently the chassis is factory stock. I'd like to find a capable shop to: at a minimum, install an inner long kit (Engman), and a GT kit. As for the GT kit I want someone that is capable of opening it up and installing on the inside. If anyone can suggest a capable shop I'd appreciate it? With 400+ horsepower going in, do I need to go beyond my plans? If I must add a cage I want a very minimal clean install as this will be street driven regularly. Thanks, Walt |

Walt, You really dont need much if your just going to street drive it and drag it... All I would do is the long kit and reinforce the suspension ear, and even that is optional.
I have the long kit in my car and its solid as a rock, however the rest of the car is solid as well which makes a big difference. The other thing i would do is seam weld the rear. McMark can easily do all these things and your probably going to come out fairly cheap. Good luck! I have ~400lbs of tq, and I dont feel the chassis as being a problem here, very solid. |
